Hello Folks, I'll thank some advice on value. I just had updated and modded a set of Polk SDA SRS / Parasound P/LD-2000 / Parasound HCA 2200 MKI (sorry for Typo in header, it's a MKI and not a MKII). Work on all of them was performed by Ed Brown, well known here in the forums, taking them to their max potential sparing no reasonable cost in parts and labor.

The SDA's
- New cabinet tops, bottoms and side strips in solid Mahogany
- Cabinet was sealed
- Black Hole 5 applied
- Soundcoat on speaker baskets
- Crossovers upgraded to Sonicap Capacitors and Mills Resistors
- All internal wire DH Labs
- All driver hardware changed, installed hurricane nuts
- New binding posts
- Upgraded XLR interconnect DH Labs cable
- Replaced 1 driver
- All tweeters upgraded
- All driver magnets epoxied
- New acoustic transparent fabric

Amp HCA 2200 MKI Upgraded
- Sonicaps capacitors
- Power supply caps
- Op-amps
- Mills resistors
- Thermal insulators

Pre-Amp
- Power supply
- Film & Electrolytic capacitors
- Vishay Resistors

What would be a reasonable value for these components in the current state? Thanks!

Are you selling? or are they keepers?

What research have you done on your end with regards to value? It sounds like you know exactly what you have and obviously the amount of money you've put into the mods.

Not trying to be a jerk but your question is vague and open to many variables.

If you are selling

What market you'll be selling them in?

Selling on Ebay for example, have you sold on Ebay before? if not most serious buyers, in my humble opinion, are less likely to purchase from someone who does not have a track record of selling audio equipment. Are you prepared to ship these heavy units, potentially cross country? if so they will have to be packaged very securely so they arrive at their destination unscathed. If selling on Ebay deduct about 15% of completed sale to fees.

Selling locally on say CL or Offerup, any serious buyer who is going to shell out good money will want to listen to them which means more then likely you'll have to have strangers coming to your home. I'm not sure what the market in your area will bear but be prepared to not get what you could on Ebay. Price accordingly say 15% less then completed sales.

Audiogon? US AudioMart?

Thanks for the reply. When selling I would consider eBay, I have 13 years listing with 100% feedback. I've shipped electronics and heavy equipment overseas and crate building is not a problem, plus I always ship these types of items insured. I haven't listed on Audiogon or Audiomart, so I don't think those would be an option for lack of feedback. I don't like the idea of having an unknown guy coming around my home, so CL would be difficult.

Did you have the power supply in a separate box outside the pdl 2000?

Still wondering what happened to mine. Heard way too many lies from this Ed
