Technics SH-8055 Equalizer with Spectrum Analyzer
Technics SL-D5 Linear Tracking / Direct Drive Turntable
Technics SU-V9 Integrated Amplifier (120W/ch @ 8 ohms)

I think it's worth $425.00 - Fair?

Seems like a fair price to me for a setup still that good looking and if the technical state is just as good. Nice gear!
 
A mod will have to change the title, and I don't know much about pricing info, but I love the look of the equalizer with the spectrum analyzer. Very cool!
 
Some members will find the price to be fair. Some members will find the price to be excessive (Me). You may find some members who feel the price is a steal and needs to be jumped on. That's the kind of place it is.
 
I'm not familiar with this specific gear. From the general appearance I'd guess market value to be less. But there are a few components from that era that are highly in demand and for all I know these could be some.
 
Thanks to everyone for their input. The sad thing is, my wife came down to the listening room wielding a sledge hammer and smashed them all to bits. She said I had the volume up too loud. Ah hem - just kidding.
 
You might want to move the turntable off of the top of that amp. It's probably getting mighty warm under there. :yes:
 
Nice looking gear! I think $250 is probably a little more realistic.
I'm a garage sale and thrift store hound, though, and quite regularly pick up gear like this for about 10 - 20 bucks a component; maybe a bit more for the amp: It's very nice looking.
If you intend to list it all on Craig's List being a little high on price obviously gives you some room to negotiate. Good luck!
 
That's probably a little high, just based on what you'd get separately on e-bay. More like $200-250, unless you've got a really great cartridge on that table.

That said, I've got that EQ, and I love der blinkenlights.
 
Well I won't count on using the proceeds to fund my purchase of the Emotiva XPA-2 and RSP-1.

Ahhhh, now wait a sec.... Keeping the Technics stuff provides justification to acquire another set of speakers and create an entirely different setup - perhaps in another room?
 
FWIW I sold my mint SU-V9 with all the original documentation a few years ago for a chunk over three bills.
