Whats the ideal set up of marantz 5220 to marantz 2270

I know this may sound rudimentary but I wanted to be sure I do have the user manual.
But wanted to get expert advice from the community on .
Plugging 5220 directly into my 2270 ( which port)
Lines in and out going to the 2270.

Sorry if I missed anything but just any input would be amazingly appreciated

Line Out on the 5220 connected to Record on the 2270. Line In on the 5220 connected to Play on the 2270. The 2270 can connect to two tape decks - one using Record 1/Play 1 and the other using Record 2/Play 2.

Should i plug right into my receiver?

Do you mean for the main 120v power? You can plug into the switched or Unswitched outlets on the receiver or just plug into the wall.

Sorry for so many questions but I am sure this will also help other people moving forward.
But is there a benefit to going straight into the reciever. Besides the obvious extra wall outlet ?

Not really. I usually plug my turntable into my switched outlet, but it doesn’t really matter.
