G'day all, although you'd never know it on this beautifully sunny Friday afternoon here in North Queensland, there is a small cyclone heading for this general area and expected to make landfall, possibly on Monday morning.

Apparently an even more intense cyclone will follow in the next week or so! Yes, when it rains, it pours! Regards, Felix aka catman.

Crikey! Go dry up mate :D

Hopefully this is a once in a hundred years thing and won't happen again for a long long time.

We're expecting a bit of flooding around here this spring. Only in low lying areas though. The ground never really dried last fall and there's a fair snow pack. My house is on fairly high ground but I'm sure there's going to be some folks with water in their basements come spring.

Cheers

I heard of this cyclone on the news this morning and immediately thought of you, Felix. Like you really need more rain...

Are you in it's crosshairs?

Sheesh. Did Australia kick Mother Nature's dog or something? You folks have been getting hammered over the past 12 months (fires, floods, cyclones). I'm waiting to hear about a rain of frogs.

Stay safe.

G'day all, yes mate, we're right in the primary target area (the town of Ingham). It's a very large and destructive cyclone and widespread damage over a wide area is anticipated. Regards, Felix aka catman.

Secure your house and belongings as well as you can and then go somewhere safe. Good luck to you. Looking forward to hearing from you after it passes.
