When it Rains It pours

I have way too much stuff, I did not buy these to look at , it is against the rules for me to discuss what my intentions are with these, they are neat old items and I do enjoy looking at them and the history associated with them but I have owned most of these before many times over.

You may well be right about it not being rare but everything I read says otherwise some guys say they have been looking for years for one, of course rare does not always mean a high value either, almost certainly the Western Electric KS-15512-L3A oscilloscope is much more rare and so is a pair of Westrex Receivers I used to own there is no reference to the oscilloscope online that I can find except for a model similar and only two mentions for the old Westrex rceievers.

No judgement at all here, Snow, I've been known to flip an item or two myself. Seemed to me it was all new stuff to you and you seemed pretty excited by it and I hoped it would give you some pleasure.

If people have been looking for years for a S-27 they need to come out here to the Baltimore/DC area, they are not that uncommon here. Not sure why someone would want one over the S-36, they're very similar.

Regarding those Westrex receivers, were they a transistor portable made in Europe? Switzerland or Germany perhaps? The Pavek Museum in Minneapolis has one and I always thought it was really cool and have been on the lookout - as you say, they are very rare. Maybe there's another Westrex receiver I'm unaware of.

I don't know enough to comment on why someone would want a S-27 over a S-36. The Hallicrafters Model 505 Television and WE oscilloscope was new to me but the Collins receivers I had several of them over the years. The Westrex 49 receivers were large rack mounted receivers they were powered by a Hammarlund R94A power supply. I still have the rack mount meters for them. These were made in the USA.

Very interesting pics. Appears to be perhaps a dual diversity, 4-channel receiver. I see a Hammarlund SuperPro power supply and what appears to be a homebrew audio amp. I'm wondering if it's HF or VHF.

Any pics of the other side?
 
No no pics of the other side, pretty sure it is VHF considering the black box above the amp is a Collins type 51M-6 VHF Receiver
