When the Wife says Yes

Road to Ruin
In all fairness I guess I should list what She has said Yes too
And no she is not standing behind me threatning me with spiked heels .:D
Sansui 9090DB , Marantz 2252 , Pioneer SX 650 and SX 525 , Hitachi SR 303
Sherwood 7910 , Kenwood 5010 , Akai GXC 709D , Pioneer PL 518 . I guess one no is ok after all this , since I still have most of this and more :thmbsp:

If I were married, I'd be more concerned about the wife saying "Yes" to other things than Hi-Fi gear, "know-whadda-mean", Vern? :D

Guess I've got mine trained pretty well. When the rep brought over the Sooloos music server for review and we went to lunch, she said "guess this one's going to be staying, huh?"

Any time I can get the missus to sign off on a five figure piece of hardware without discussion, it's a good day...

Interesting that THIS thread is getting only a tiny fraction of the posts in the "NO" thread... :scratch2:

When it comes to your hobby and what your considering buying is a nice priced bargain, I see no reason why you have to ask anyone if you can have it. Most women don't ask their husbands when they want to buy a hobby item, they just buy it. Of course I'm not married, so what do I know, except that I have never asked anyone except Me, Myself and I.

Good observation, Oz.

I'm guessing it's because 9 out of 10 guys on AK are looking for answers when the wife says "no".

As long as purchases can be discussed, It's cool, However she has come
home with $80 heels, Victoria's Secret(OK anytime) outfits, you name it.
As long as I get mine once in awhile, I'm happy.

Bitter irony. Bought her a new car the other night and now I can't AFFORD any toys for a while....
She never gives me a hard time about my hobbies, though. And she doesn't ask for much. And when she DOES say yes....HALLELUJAH!!

It's funny, my wife has been rather neutral about the audio thing. She likes to listen to it, however it takes over any room it spreads too, with either audio gear or racks of lps n' cd's. I don't think she's ever said no, though she's groaned any number of times.

Then, after 23 years of knowing her, she "scores" some Altec 85's for 5 bucks and now she's gone all hunter/gatherer on me.

"Look, there's a yard sale!"
