Where can I find vintage audio repair in MN

Yes. PM'ed you.
I'm in Elk River.
I have a Sansui au717 that, only when my loudness switch is on,my left side seems to get way too loud but when turned off is fine.
This started happening when I stupidly had the power on when I was switching rca cords in back.
Being I put a sub on this now I don't use the loudness anymore but would still like it fixed.
Ever heard of anything like that?

SLP is St.Louis Park I'm presuming.

Hate to double-up but I'm at the end of my rope too; I've got an old 70s Nakamichi 600 and 630, both of which need some minor repairs (the 600 has a light out and is a little wobbly on outputting both channels; the 630 has a hum and the FM bleeds through to other inputs). I'm mostly left with repair shops that folks claim are scams. Any chance you can take on this work too?

I know these units were pretty middle-of-the-road for the time, but I'm very sentimental over the design and would love to have my whole system 1 rack working properly again.

I'll PM you. I just worked on these models.

Would you consider working on the Motherlode of Marantz- the 2380. Losing signal and gritty when turning up volune- had it serviced when there was still a repair shop a few years back in Fargo but still does same thing- thankyou from Fargo!

Absolutely - give me a PM.

That’s awesome! Glad I could get it fixed for you.
Hey man the left channel went out on this sansui. I'm not for sure when or how? Seemed to happen after that drive upto you and back if that's even possible? Anyways I checked all the fuses and they look fine, I've read something about disconnecting that protect board , could that board even be the problem? If not then I'm thinking about doing restore /mods instead of just letting it rot. Or if there's anything easy besides the fuses I could check that you know of? I actually found a balance switch from a place in Canada and replaced all those wrong switches with correct ones after you said something. (Surprisingly I never noticed that but drove me nuts after u mentioned it lol). Anyways lmk what you think. Thanks

There I go again- I meant 2385- my typing is poor!
Hello again from the detroit lakes area, we touched base last July about giving a Marantz 2385 a look see, probable cleaning and hopefully, then a clean bill of health after that. I do appreciate your response previously and u were also recommended to me by a mutual acquaintance. My daughter and her husband would transport reciever to the destination in the cities- this was a one owner , seldom used, low volumes receiver owned by my father. but I managed to get some dirt particles in the vue meters so that's where we start- would you still be interested. Many thanks, Julie
