Where to buy a new spider / help evaluate spider? McIntosh 12" Woofer

I can't find them available outside of full re-cone kits, but where do you buy them alone? The cone and voice coil are fine - just a sagging spider (it's sagging maybe 1/8"?).

This is a 12" McIntosh woofer 036-001. Appreciate any tips - thanks! Alternatively, if this looks OK to use as-is please let me know ... I've never seen this before and not sure what's acceptable. It did seem to work OK with the old semi-intact foam a couple years ago when I first got them and tested them.

It's definitely sagging, but where does the cone "center" when it is in its normal vertical position? I'm wondering if the new surround will aid the spider in centering the cone once the speaker is installed?

As for finding a voice coil, why don't you contact AK member Gordon W? He might be able to help.

I replaced the spiders on some AR 2ax Speakers. I measured the VC outside diameter, and spider outside diameter and then sourced them like that. Fairly easy install. Good luck

I bought mine from The Speaker Exchange. You could try contacting and see if they'd sell yours separately. They do have a kit for them.

Thanks all. So I centered and refoamed it first, to get the voice coil centered, and then attempted the spider re-furb per your video, @teal'c ... success! Unbelievable.

I used two long Q-tips to prop the cone up, and an old windex bottle with water to spray the spider. Then hit it (carefully) with my heat gun for around 5 min. Kept the props in place as I let it cool. Removed them and voila! Solid as a rock. What a great tip!

A+ to that YouTube fella. Like my conscience always tells me, it ain't stupid if it works.
