Where to find a wood case?

Hey, all. I have a Kenwood KA-3500 amplifier and would love to put it in a wood case. However, I'm not seeing anything out there on eBay or elsewhere. Anyone have any ideas? Any builders out there? Or is there a place that offers used vintage cases that I don't know about. Any help would be appreciated.

Keep watching the auction site as one may sooner or later show up. I chose a different route, making my own wood accent pieces for my vintage Marantz stuff. I did find a solid walnut coffee table with a shelf for $5 last summer at a garage sale. Most of the wood went into a new walnut hifi cabinet for 3 of my TTs, but there was (and still is) enough left to make some nice wood side panels for my Marantz 240 power amp. Its not at all like the original. but I think it looks good.

BTW, I ripped all the boards with a straight edge and a skil saw. I do have a nice power miter saw and Kreig Jig.

Contact @Dusty Ol'Man .....he is an excellent craftsman of wood cases.

He recently made one for my Phase Linear....

Damn... original stuff be dammed, that looks great! The rack thing looks great too. Kudos to you. I love the idea of repurposing old stuff like that and the fact that you were able to salvage the wood from something that cost all of $5. To buy hardwood like that as raw material I know would have cost far more. I don't have the tools for that much less even the knowhow, but I have a few friends with table saws. I need to be on the lookout for old furniture for projects like that...
