Where to get Technics parts? Need motor.

Does anyone out there have a good source for Technics parts?
I need a new motor, or motor assembly (circuit board has some components on it as well as the motor) for an SL-B303.
I have the service manual, and I did a web search for the part number. The two parts companies I dug up both listed the part number as out of production.
Any ideas, other than waiting for one to come up on eBay?

A parts unit? Check the AK Classifieds too.

It's likely that if you were able to find a new motor it would cost more than the turntable is worth. But in your search for junkers also keep your eyes open for the SL-B202 and B101 as they used the same motor.

Also, if you like particularly like this model keep your eyes open for an SL-D303 or an SL-Q303 (direct drive and dd quartz) as a replacement. Same basic design, but better speed stability, and they usually can be had for as much as a new motor. Then just hold onto the B303 for extra common parts for the new table.

Thanks for the replies. Like many AK folks, I have a few turntables (is there a cure?).This Technics is the most basic I have, and I picked it up quite cheaply. I was hoping to fix it for my younger daughter to use. My 8yo has an SL-1900 which I fixed, and her younger sister says she would now love a turntable too!
I hoped that somewhere out there I could find a Technics parts stockist, but if I can't then I'll probably offer it for parts myself.

What's the problem with the motor? I've had Technics belt drive tables that operated erratically speed-wise that just needed the switches and pots cleaned really well.

There is a Technics parts store on eBay, but it's probably just for SL 1200 stuff.

Thanks - I'll check again and see if I can locate the Technics parts store on eBay.

Regarding the motor problem - it is mechanically noisy, sounds like there is some friction inside, perhaps some misalignment, broken bearing etc.? Also, I have speed instability too, especially at 45rpm - but I've fixed this with other t/tables by cleaning pots and I planned to do this as a second stage. Perhaps I'll fix that part today.
