I reside in Northwest Arkansas. I have STACKS of vintage audio gear. Solid State and Tube. Pre amps, Power amps, Receivers, Turntables, Open Reel Decks, Cassette Decks, etc. Crown, Pioneer, Kenwwod/Trio, Sansui, etc. We have NO quality repair shops in NWA. We used to have one in Fayetteville years ago, but the owner of the store had ripped me off as if I was blind, then filed for bankruptcy. I had called Audio Classics, but I was told they only work on McIntosh. Can someone recommend a quality service center near me?

It's going to be a little while before I get set up, but I just moved to south central Kansas. Just shy of four hours from Fayetteville. Not super close, I know.

What city on South Centeal KS? I travel from Dallas, TX to Wichita, KS fairly often.
 
Don't know anything about him, but there's a repair shop in Claremore, OK. Many Moons Audio.
 
They work on others such as Citation, Scott, Fisher, and Marantz tune stuff. Te also deal with Audio research Classe, and Accuphase, among others. Being a Yamaha and long time Denon dealer they repair those, too. Its all about getting the right parts. Some products when a particular IC is no longer made you are just out of luck. But older and some newer stuff using discrete components can be made almost new. I have a 30+ year old pre-amp and the push button switch assembly is no longer made. So when the EQ switch section went out Audio Classics had to take it apart and rebuild it. That was 6 years ago and it still performs like new. The original designer of the Mac tuners I own that are over 40 years old restored mine in 08 I would guess and they sound better than new. There are others out there but I knew Frank Gore for many years and when he went to work with Steve at Audio Classics I kept intouch. When I retired and the business went under later on I naturally turned to Audio Classics as we has used them as a source for rare parts and a pre-owned piece we couldn't obtain locally. They are one of the few places that can make a C-28 much better than new along with the older tube tuners, pre-amps, and power amps. They are even a source for older speaker drivers and diaphragms some times.
 
Yes, Paul at Many Moons Audio, has a backlog, don't most but he does good work.
