Which cart/stylus is better?

I am selling my Pioneer PL-15D Ser. II and I need to know out of the 2 carts which should I keep? I have the original Pioneer PC-50 that was on the PL-A35D that I'm replacing the 15D with and I have a Shure M91ED High Track spare. Between the 2 which should I keep as a back up cart/stylus! Thanks! ; )

I thought of that but was going to reflect the price of leaving one of them on the PL-15D I'll still have 2 others for back ups! A Black Grado and which ever one of the others I keep? So back to where I started which of the 2 would be the better one to keep both in V.G. condition! Thanks! ; )

People who will want to buy your table are shopping for your table, not for the cartridge. These guys are right - put something generic but decent on there, cause it will probably sell for the same amount anyways. If there's another PL-15d listed for $100 less with an at3600 instead that'll probably be the one that's bought. Half the folks buying tt's have a small collection of carts, and might already have something in mind... On the other hand if you do want to sell one of the carts, sell it separately to someone shopping for THAT cart and get your full value.

I don't disagree with your logic but I'll have 2 other carts/styli as back ups. My other table is a Garrard Lab Series Type A which uses a different setup I'm sure you know! My guess is that the PC-50 is the lesser of the 2 carts so unless I hear different that's the one I'll sell it with! Thanks! : )

The one that suits your tonearm the best. Find out the Eff Mass of the arm, the compliance of the carts & head to the Korf calculator.

Cheers
Thanks for that! I'm going to sell it with the Pioneer PC-50 Cart/stylus. I got the PL-A35D Ser. II for $100.00 and it's like new from a one owner and easier to get styli for the Shure! Here's both below. Pl-15D on the pool table! Thanks for all the suggestions! ; )

Well, do as you please. If I'd get a nice vintage table, that would happen to come with its original stock cartridge, I'd definitely want to keep that, even if I'd intend to mount another model.

Greetings from Munich!

That's my dilemma! I agree as far as keeping the original as well. I was looking to find out which of the 2 was the lesser and I think they're both good with the PC-50 being the lesser of the 2. I have an extra AT headshell and I may buy a generic/good used cart/stylus for it and keep all of mine! Thanks! All good ideas! ; )
