Which Component Should I Upgrade?

I have been struggling with the decision of which component I should upgrade for the maximum benefit, or if something should be added, like a sub woofer. Music tastes ranges from cool jazz to indie rock and punk.

My system consists of the following:

Yamaha S-AS1000 Integrated Amplifier
Audio Technica AT-LP120-USB Turntable
Sonus Faber Venere 3.0 Speakers
Cheap interconnects
12 AWG O2 Free Speaker Wire

Thanks!

The biggest change in sound is always speakers, followed by the turntable cartridge. Interconnects and wire will have little (if any) audible effect.

You have a nice amp and speakers. I think you need to upgrade your TT. Upgrading the cart on your current TT will not benefit much on that table. Once you get the set like you like it, you can start cables and speaker wire.
