Which Deck?

I know nothing about RtR decks but have always wanted one. A local seller is offering the attached. Any advice on the the best deck?

i'd go with the pioneer as a first choice, then the akai gx, then the teac. i don't know much about the sansui but i'd pass on the m-9 if that's all that's left.

Is that $150 for the lot !

If the seller sais that they are all going, I would take them all.
Then run them and try which one you like best.

Can always sell the other recorders off on the bay websites.

there are usually parts still available for teac decks, parts for the others is very iffy/questionable.
with these old decks that's an important consideration.

i'd go for them all, if they're really in good condition.

Saw the add when it posted last night...I'd go with the 707...its $150 per deck, at least thats how I read it...

The rest are just average, the Pio is.....ah-mazing!

Damn! If I was anywhere near that guy, I'd give him $300 for the Pioneer and the Sansui. The Pioneer is well regarded and I just like the Sansui no matter how it performs. If it's $150 for the lot, I'd just take all of them without asking any questions .
