Which Dual Cassette?

I have a Sony TC-WR455, and it's a decent deck. Bought it to make a Sony-only system for my workshop though (and because it was cheap, sounded OK, and I couldn't find a single-well deck at the time) but almost every single-well deck in my collection outperforms it. For copying I use my Naks (582 + 480) or my three-head Sony in the main system.

Hey, can you scan yours and put it on the AK Database or send it to me. Is yours a TD-709 or a TD-W709? Mine is TD-W709.

I would be happy to but I never had the manual.
Mine is a thrift store buy and lives in the barn for outside tunes.
When the weather warms enough for me to turn it on with out risking the belts I'll try to post the settings for relay playback at least.

The reasons that I'm keeping my TD-W709.

1. I bought it new in the 90's. I am the orignal owner.
2. It sat unused for about 15 years.
3. Since new, it has alway been kept inside in a climate controled environment with heat in the winter and AC in the summer.
4. I have the orignal box, and if I can find them, the manual and paper work.
5. It sound great.
6. It make great tapes for the cassette deck in my 4Runner.

If I find my manual, I'll scan it and submit it to the AK database.

Finally

Well, I finally picked up a Sony TC-WR11ES from Ebay. Maybe one of you sold it. Anyway, It is on the way. I like having the Dolby S function as well as the other features on it. I know everyone has an opinion on Dolby S, mostly that it is great - as long as it works! I figured if it did finally go kaput some day I would just rely on the Dolby C.

Can someone recommend a source for the owner's manual other than Ebay? It seems everyone selling original (OK - I guess I don't actually need an original, but it would be nice.) manuals wants an arm and a leg for them.

Thanks again for all the opinions. Obviously, everyone has one, and seeing all of them is entertaining as well as useful.
