Which is the better TT - Dual 1218 or Technics SL-Q2

I know, one is idler wheel vs. DD. Just curious …

The Dual has a Pickering V15 cart. The Technics has a Audio Technica cart. (not sure of model)

Yamaha CR-420 receiver.

I have a Q3 and the Dual/PE version of a 1228(or maybe 1218?), and I decided to keep the Q3 and move along the PE.
 
The dual if well maintained and has a fresh idler wheel rebuild can sound great too though. But those direct drive technic tables are hard to beat.
 
My tables include an SL-Q3 and two Dual idlers (1009 and 1225). The Duals have their charms, especially the hefty 1009. But for everyday convenience and rock-solid performance, I sure like the metal-plinth quartz lock Technics. Can't go wrong there.
