Hello, everyone.I currently own a Kenwood KD 3070 turntable, but I have the opportunity to purchase a pioneer PL 112D turntable.Which is the better of the two? Just wondering if I should spend the $40.00 for the pioneer. Thanks.

No, the Pioneer, while decent, was the entry level belt drive model for its series, while your Kenwood is a very nice direct drive. Stay with the Kenwood.

What they said. My brother used a PL-112D for many years. It was a decent, affordable belt-drive 'table, but your direct-drive Kenwood is quite a bit better.

Thanks guys.I will just forget about wasting my money on the pioneer. The kenwood would be mint,if I can find a dust cover for it,some cracks in the original one.I did see someone on eprey selling one for $85.00. OUCH!!!!!

Make yourself believe that the cracks are purposely put there to minimise resonances in the cover. And take that 40 or 85 bucks burning a hole in your pocket and buy a new cartridge or stylus, or more records. That'll give better sound than a mint dustcover or a second turntable.
