I'm in a dilemma,

Currently have two nice turntables, a Technics SL-1300mk2 and a JVC QL-Y5F.
Both are in excellent shape, the technics also having had the 3D printed cuing part fitted.

Just interested which would be the better one to keep? I need to make some space and one has to go.
I'm currently running an AT440mlb cart with a rega fono mini preamp.

I've also fitted the technics with some replacement leads, some thick well shielded component video cables which i hear make good replacements for phono leads. Is it worth doing the same to the JVC as well?

Interested on your thoughts, Cheers

Definitely the JVC. The drivetrain is arguably a bit better but the tonearm is much better.

The electronically dampened tonearm of the JVC QL-Y5F allows a great range of cartridges to be used. I like mine with Denin DL-160 HOMC.

The _downside_ is the micro controller IC chip in it is proprietary and hard to find.
