Which pair of speakers should I get

Yes I know of course out of the 2 pairs I'm considering the Cornwalls would be the no brainer. But it would include trading off a peice of equipment that I really would rather keep.
So I need to figure out how close would the alternate consideration get me to the Klipsch Cornwalls. Here are the 2 pair I'm considering:

Vintage-"VOTT" (Heath) cabinets with Jensen fullrange speakers.

I'm looking to get more thump and bass than my book shelf magnats give me which I think either pair will provide.I also would like more detail and clarity which I'm confident that the Klipsch would provide, However I don't know how the VOTT would compare. I think its a horn loaded as well. Not sure yet. Will be going to check out both of these sometime this weekend but I'd like to hear what this community thinks first.

I'd personally rather have the Cornwalls. I've heard 'em, I've owned 'em, and I wish I still had some. Now, if that other pair of speakers you are looking at were actual Valencia's with the 416 woofer/811 horn, I'd still say get the Cornwalls. I've had 2 pairs of those and I prefer the Cornwalls. YMMV.

I think you are right. It's a no brainer, get the Cornwall. The best way to save money is get what you want the first time. Good luck.
