Which pair of speakers would you choose????

I managed to sneak my Diatone DS-5000s into my living room 87kg each. They arrived in a massive wooden crate from Japan. It took my wife a year but now she loves them! I have Yamaha NS-2000s upstairs complete with Sony VFET power amp TA-N7 & Sony preamp TA-E88B with Yamaha GT-2000 as source. In our bedroom we have the Diatone 50 anniversary 610mb full rage speakers with original Diatone KB-610M cabinets. Tell your wife you thought of her and she's very lucky your speakers only weigh a mear 96lbs and not 191lbs like all your other hifi online buddies!

I had a chance to listed and if I wanted to buy Sony speakers like that - I heard so much about them, so I ran to do just that. However they didnt sound good at all - too bright, not much detail. And I could have had them cheap! - I still walked away. Mitsu - dont know much them - you just dont see a lot of equipment by this brand. But the ones I have seen and heard - were rather good, in some cases very good - so based on that I would lean toward the Mitsubishi , but of course - if you can test listen both - thats the way to go.

I'm in a similar situation now - how to get in a pair of Diatone DS 50cs under the nose of my wife...

Had a set of these. They weren't my cup of tea. Very Very similar in sound to JBL L-26 Decades also very much not my cup of tea.

Finally got the pair of (Mitsubishi) Diatone DS-50CS back home. They are huge and heavy! At the height of 36 inches, the tweeters are pointing to my ear level when sitting on my sofa. Just listened to them partnered with Rega Planar 3 + Sansui AU-70. These speakers are not leaving my house!

Ds-50 are ace. Mine have reconditioned surrounds, rebuilt crossovers, and replaced mids. They may not be perfect but they do everything well. Ive owned or heard a number of high end speakers and these are staying.
