Who actually made Realistic Receivers?

I picked up a STA-95 Realistic Receiver today in mint condition and I am impressed. In fact in my opinion it sounds better than a Marantz 1550 I have. What I was wondering is if anyone knows if there is info available that shows who made what Realistic Receivers for Radio Shack by model number. I have heard possibly the STA-95 was made by Sansui. Thanks for any info you may have.

Most receivers, integrateds and tuners were made by Foster (aka Fostex) and a few were made by Pioneer.
Most of their belt drive and direct drive turntables were made by CEC with the earlier idler drives made by Elac-Miracord and BSR.

Yes from what I was able to gather here on AK that is somewhat a concensus, but is there any where to find exactly who made what model receiver? Did Radio Shack (Tandy) ever release a list or such like of such info?

Yes... the Foster name comes up every time. Many people believe those RS Receivers from that era were made from parts of several main brands. Sorta of a hodgepodge.

I dunno for sure.

My STA-250 has circuit boards with GTE/Sylvania printed on it. The STA-250 was also sold as the CR-2743 under the Sylvania brand.
