Who else is into bikes?

I've owned at least one bike for 45 years straight. Don't ride as much or as fast as the old days but still love it. Have a 70 FLH and a 2006 Buell XB12s now. And an old Sportster that I used to race but it hasn't been out in 15 years. Had a horrific engine explosion on it and it blew the bike to pieces. Got a new frame, engine, and pretty much everything else for it. Maybe one day I'll finish it.
 
The 88 Hawk that's in my Avatar and a 1999 Ducati 900SSie.
Started on a 1972 Yamaha 175 Enduro(in 1972)Then my 73 RD that I rode for years.Throw into the mix a 250 Honda Elsinore(76?) and a 1978 Honda CX500

I remember when they came out. It was like holding a stick of dynamite in your right hand! :biggrin:
 
Always wanted to "bike".... so several years back I finally I bought a small Honda Rebel 250 for practice and eventually take the road test. The Honda was basically an overpowered scooter...:rflmao:but it had an excellent resell value... :idea:?

Two years later, after passing the test and finishing my safety class and certifications.. I financed a Suzuki cruiser, a Boulevard model... which I believe is the revamped Marauder? Anyways.. its an 850 and has endured some pretty adventurous travels..., the mountains, the beach, the cross country roads of the Carolinas.

Interestingly enough and often I think of another upgrade to a Harley Big Boy, 1300 or up. Yet here in the Carolinas the drivers seem to lack "road rule" knowledge and pavement upkeep is very poor...
I relent to keeping what I have.

Now... I just enjoy the local roads and won't consider cross country in any real respect. My suggestion is whether you local or cross country bike... Do wear your helmet and keep both eyes open and mind attentive and clear :thumbsup:

Biking can be relaxing and bliss... but never let your guard down, not even for a moment!
 
Either stay at home to listen, or get out and ride. hard choices...
