Hi guys, i want to know the difference between a Sansui SR-4050C and a Sansui SR-2050C turntable?
Which one is better?
And by any chance, is anyone selling?
TIA

The SR-4050C was the top of the line for belt-driven Sansui turntables back in the day. The 2050C was the next step down. The 2050C can be found frequently on eBay, but the 4050C is rare.

I've got a SR-4050C in excellent shape, recapped and serviced, up for sale in BarterTown right now. The only issue it has is the auto-lift function auto-stops and auto-lifts but does not maintain the lift. It is a great turntable. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/in...ven-turntable-restored-recapped-lubed.786655/

I can't speak for the 2050C as I've never owned or restored one.

Why does the SR-2050C turntable either have the 4 rubber bushings or the 4 springs? Design change? Which is better? I have the bushings and an e-clip at the top of each post shaft. Can you date the TT by this difference?
