Who knows Electro Voice speakers ?????

Thanks wank... If you have any bars that would be great !
No problem. Yours look exactly like mine, down to the same version of the drivers. I've not been able to find any model numbers on the tweeter, so I don't know anything about it.

A couple more pix. I can't get to the back of the mid and horn, without dismanteling the whole top half of the speaker. They're enclosed in a sealed top half.
Yeah - only way to get to those is with, um, a hammer...

I just picked up a pair of Electro Voice Regal speakers this past weekend at a garage sale. Seller said his parents bought them new back in the early 60's.

Cosmetically they are in nice shape, no stains, gouges or nicks. Just need to have the finish freshened. Haven't had a chance to test them yet but gonna try to hook them up this weekend.

I've been looking for speakers to use with a tube amp...that I'm looking for as well. :D Hey, gotta start somewhere. Hopefully these will be the start of my tube system.

coooooooool . . . keep hitting the yardsales and find an old tube console - my favorite is magnavox - if you find a nice push/pull 6V6 or 6BQ5 amp, it'll be good for about 15 watts RMS per channel - MORE than enough for those babies ! :thmbsp:

Y'all might want to recap those old crossovers and clean the pots.

I was mystified by the round 8" in the square hole, till I saw the pic of the back of the box it's in. Still weird.

Those T-35's go for about a hundred clams on Ebay, don't they? So take care of em.

Electro Voice Regals!

Hey I have a pair of EV Reagals, the wood needs refinishing and the genuine hemp/bamboo organic speaker cloth leaves something to be desired , but yeah they look very cool , I guess I should fire them up?!?
So many speakers, so little time! Ed

To save threads, I figured I'd just post my question in here for the EV folks :D ... I just bought a pair of EV speakers on that auction site that look a bit like Esquire 200s or Regal 300s. The drivers are SP12C, an 8" midrange, and a T35B. The SP12C has me confused, since I'd expect a conventional woofer! Any ideas? Late revision or upgrade/substitution? I won't have pics until they arrive... curious to see what they might be :)
