Who made this tweeter and where can I get one?

I have MA FRM speakers and one tweeter is dead. I'm thinking if I knew the specs I could sub something in if I can't find a replacement. Anyone recognize this tweeter. I remember seeing a site that had codes for the various speaker manufacturers but I can't seem to find it. Thanks!!!!

From a previous thread here dealing with Micro Acoustics speakers:

"The FRM-1 always came with a 5-tweeter array. The first generation FRM-1 used Peerless tweeters. By 1985, Matsushita tweeters were being used, which were finally replaced with four Onkyo tweeters and one Matsushita in the middle position."

Matsushita is of course the parent company of the Panasonic and Technics brands marketed in the US, so EAS may be a Matsushita code. I would think the Onkyo tweeters were likely made by a different Japanese OEM supplier and just branded with the Onkyo name (but that's just a guess). That tweeter on ebay looks so similar it would be a good choice for use as a replacement.
 
Call Madisound or PE and discuss with them. Small cone with metal dust cover? Is cone paper, silk, poly, etc? Looks like highly polished aluminum for dust cap? Magnesium would be a bit "gold" in color.

What does the good one meter DC when out of the circuit? Real 8 ohms, or a number like 7.4 or 8.6. Could help narrow it down a bit? Does this one run by itself, or in an array?

Thats the set up. I think the center driver is a tweeter and the other 4 are mids. The speaker with the blown tweeter also has intermittant static or distortion in all the drivers. A swapped in tweeter does work but i think the crossover has a bad connection. I was listenening to these in the basement and they sound very natural. I think these run under the radar you don't really hear about them much.
 
Looks like there are a ton of slip on connectors in there. Once you find and correct the problem, clean everything up with Deoxit on a rag or qtip then tack solder each one. Protect the cones from solder splatters with a rag.
