I'm running a Denon DL 103R on a Technics SL1210, using the aux weight and it sounds great.

VTA is very important.....I use the thick supermat that KABUSA sells and dial the 103 in using the VTA on the fly.

I also have the 103 on a Sumiko HS-12 headshell for extra weight.

Running the 103 through a Bob's Cinemag 3440A SUT or a old Denon AU 320 SUT into 47K MM phono stage.

Breathtaking......

What do you have the VTA at??

Would I need an aux weight??

Do you vary the resistive load at all?? Do you know what it is loaded at?

Lastly, I have a moddified 1600 MKII I am sure it would sound amazing.
