I was heavily involved in the making of this music video.
Flying from Amsterdam to Vienna with my film gear I felt the pressure rising. 12 cartridges, 18 frames per second and a 3 minute song. No do-overs.
As the technical director my job was top operate the camera's, setup gear and do the cinematography.
"Instead of finding peace and enlightenment, I found the darkest nights I'd ever seen with the most frightening sounds coming from the woods at night (no Slenderman present because he already fled the scene out of fear).
"I spent 3 days alone (+ whiskey) in the middle of nowhere in a cottage in the woods to answer some questions for myself:
"What do I want to do with my life? Where will I be in 26 years?". I wasn't planning on writing a song, but amidst the weird noises and the solitude this kinda happened.
"Night In The Woods" is about feeling stuck and being anxious about your deathbed regrets."
