WHY CAN'T I UPLOAD SOME PICTURES?

Yeah, I think that comes from what your computer says to downsize to when downloading a pic from the web. The size I listed is the size of the pic on my hard drive.

By inspecting the web page HTML I can see that your picture posted at 900x579.

What's interesting is that the title indicates "Click this image to show the full-size version". I've many times seen postings that clicking on the image will give you a larger version of the photo (whether or not full-size means original I don't know). Clicking on this image doesn't seem to change the presentation.

That might be the file size on your computer, but it was resized upon upload. That's why it's now at a smaller size.
 
It re-sizes when I click on it. As you stated the file size on disk here is reduced during the upload and it is a smaller size.

But if I remember correctly, you were having a problem posting pictures. As was demonstrated the software will reduce the size of the picture when it is being uploaded but it doesn't seem to care what size it is prior to reducing it.

Have you tried the "Upload a File" process?

I wasn't the original poster... I just jumped in to share my experience and see what I could learn here. There are many times that I wish it was more convenient to share detailed schematics here, in spite of their required size to be truly useful. I understand that they are to be posted elsewhere and linked to.

When pasting an image into the text entry field, there does seem to be an unspecified upper limit to the file size or photo dimensions which the AK server will automatically resize -- beyond which it will return an error message. That could become an issue in posting full-size photos in that manner from a newer cell phone.

That limitation does not seem to apply to the "Upload a File" feature. Here's a 7MB 5265x3510 x24b (It resizes to 900 x 600 using "Upload a File" and returns an error message regarding file size if an attempt is made to paste it into the text entry field)
