I'm dismayed at the increasing number of threads that get closed because a member can't abide by the rules and keep politics out of discussions.

The rules are pretty clear on this, and interesting threads keep getting closed because some members can't resist the opportunity to get politics involved in the discussion.
Come on members, Read the forum rules Please! The moderators have enough to do with out this issue. FWIW

My rant is over, and I return you to your regularly scheduled programing. :^)
Regards,
Jim

From the AK rules:

"All questions on AK policy, moderation or staff members must be addressed via AK's Private Message function to a moderator or admin, and never in the public boards."

That said, any member who wishes to discuss politics may do so at our sister forum, http://www.politicalchat.org/, or the political forum of their choice.
