Why does my crown XLi 2500 clip light come on after being turned off?

So i have a video of it on youtube i put on just for this forum discussion VIDEO:
and i was comparing it between my two Crown XLi amplifiers they both was bought 1 year apart nothing is wrong with them just wondering why they both do this differently after just a few second of being turned off i thought it might having something to do with one being more high end in price than the other but they are all the same besides power from what Crown Audio says.

but i was wondering is why does both amps do this differently with the lights like i don't know if the clip lights work on the xli 800 what is seen last in the video ^^^^
 
It would depend on the circuit itself as the power supply voltage decays. Since you don't drive your amps into clipping. There may be differences in the circuit design. The 2500 has a larger power supply which takes longer to decay.
 
When the low voltage rails (+ and - 15 volts) on my Crown PSA-2XH drift (even just 0.25 volt), the clip lights and fan will come on and I know that I need to make an adjustment to restore proper operation. Maybe this is just a manifestation of the low voltage rails losing power.
 
You have two different amps, two different circuits. You don't expect them to behave the same. Even though they both are Crown, they can be designed by different engineer and have different circuit.

It is just logical that the clip lights turn on because if you have input signal, you turn off the power, the rail voltages are going to go down and sooner or later, the output signal exceed the rail voltage and output run into clipping and the light turns on!!! Clipping is when the output hitting the rail voltage, so if rail voltage collapses, it will hit the output voltage!!!

If the amp is new, don't worry about it.
