Why is the new search feature crap? And also the "your content" feature?

Why is the new search feature crap?

It used to be, I could click on search, type in the word "Pioneer" (for example), click the search titles checkbox, put in the members name (using mine as an example), and it would show all the threads started by myself, with Pioneer in the title. Now, it comes up with EVERY thread I've ever commented on with Pioneer in the title.

And the "your content" feature does pretty much the same thing. Only, it also shows all the private messages that I've written.

I just tried both, and they both worked fine for me. They both showed me my posts in chronological order.

I'm using Google Chrome on a Mac Airbook to make this post and the Search window looks like it always has to me (see screen capture below). Am sure it is possible it looks different on possibly Windows PCs and mobile devices. Don't use Your Content enough to know if it has changed or not.
