I have a consumer deck, a JVC TD-X321, that sounds better than my Tascam 122 MkII. IMHO it should be the other way around. :scratch2:
Why does the JVC sound better? And the Tascam, which is a beautiful machine, sound just okay?
(My father was the original sole owner so I know of it's history.)
Tapes that were made on the Tascam many years ago, sound great on the JVC and not so much on their mother machine.
Yes, I've cleaned the heads. But haven't messed with any alignment.
Thanks guys.
