I picked up a Marantz 6170 this morning for a little project. It needs new shoes, stylus, and the least of my worries a tonearm lock. One question I have is, can I take the whole headshell off of an MCS TT and put it on the Marantz? And will it work?

Also,does anyone have any ideas on the feet whether it be factory or retrofit from another TT?

If the head shell is the standard straight she'll found on all those bent tonearms then it should work they were a standard connector.

Fett, you can try two of ak's vendors found in the banner ads on the front page. They part out tables. Other feet might thread on but most have no idea what fits. Would be nice to have a database of TT feet thread dimensions.
