"Will not split up"

Tinnkindling

OLD SCHOOL
I've come across this deal:

SANSUI AU-20000
SANSUI TU-9900
SANSUI SPEAKERS SP-5000
SANSUI TURNTABLE FR 30 60,
LUXMAN CD PLAYER D 105 U, with remote
DENON TURNTABLE DP 47 F,
KENWOOD QUADROPHONIC RECEIVER KR 9340

What I want to know is what these items might fetch if sold separately by a person who was sincere about wanting to sell. In other words, a fair price.

Any help will be appreciated, as I have only a day to think this over.

The seller must realize that by forcing a buyer to buy that many items, some or most of he doesn't want, that the overall price will be considerably lower than selling each separately.

$1000, 450, 200, 150, 100, 300, 100. Clearing leather for you, Rick. I would offer 2 large. Let us know what shakes.

That 9900 tuner alone will cover much of your cost, if you can bear to sell it! Good score.

Actually, the Tuner is the piece in which I had the greatest interest. That's when I first started dealing with the seller. Since then, I lucked into a very nice BA-5000, and I'm using my old Advent 300 as a pre-amp for that amp. With the new acquisition, I can use AU-20000 as a CA-3000 pre-amp till I can get another pre-amp.

A Sansui BA-5000 running Dynaco A25s.

Interesting. That's quite a stack of Sansui you got there, whew, a lot of collectors would kill for that stuff!

Well, it's all home now, and both looking and working quite nicely, with the exception of the two turntables, which need some TLC. The TU-9900 is in museum quality cosmetic condition, and works just fine. The AU-20000 is just about as nice, easily a 9 on the Audio Mart condition scale, and it also works and sound beautiful, even all the lamps work. The Kenwood KR9340 is in pristine condition, but not sure where it fits in the grand scheme of things, and the Luxman CD player, with the cool tubes glowing through the front window also works, although I don't yet know whether it will play CR-R discs, or just the pre-recorded ones. Time to go and give it an audition.

The AU-20000 is going to do duty as a pre-amp for my BA-5k for now, and the tuner will probably go in the living room, and hopefully my wife will learn what a tuning knob is for....
