Will there be an audible difference if I upgrade?

May I just get off topic and talk about audio?

When I first read the OP's post my first thought was "nope" but after thinking about it, I do have a suggestion. I suggest the Yamaha A-S 501 integrated amplifier rated at a clean 85 watts per channel at 8 ohms. It has digital inputs and a Grace Digital tuner that can receive FM and internet audio would expand his reception possibilities. The Grace could use the digital output to the digital input on the Yamaha for great clean sound. The two pieces would go for under $800. If he has an iPhone, IMac, laptop or iPad he could use the Audioengine B1 Bluetooth receiver and control it from them.

"Snick" goes the lever into first gear and we return you to your cars!

I once saw the Little Tikes car listed as the "best selling" car of all time. Probably still is? I know we had two over the years.

I agree 100%. The issue is that it is good to have a starting point from where to begin. Gather ideas and suggestion before physically auditioning when sometimes the product is 2-3-4 hours away.

My point earlier is that many in the hobby think all ears are the same and that If stats and charts indicate it is a better speaker then it must be a better speaker...... Place whatever component in your room and let your ears be the deciding factor. I have sat in listening rooms and had high end speakers in my home and not cared for the sound. Many should learn to be less technical and simply listen and enjoy.

To be blunt: As you would have noticed a lot of (conflicting) personal preference with the usual side salad of automotive indulgence. Not trying to be snotty, but it is an indication that only you can judge whether there will be a sonic improvement for you in a change of amplification.

I tried in vain to find a relevant schematic (which is one way of reliably determining whether 'upgrading' might cause an audible difference). It would at least appear that there is no general problem with JVCs despite some subjective opinions, and possibly (probably?) finding suitable components for replacement of aged ones. Point: Don't spend money on what will not make a definite audible difference for you, if there is a practical way of testing this for yourself. Yes, there have been technological advances, but mostly in aid of convenience and armchair control, i.e. 'sideways' in a manner of speaking. (This apart from other good suggestions, but you asked about amplification.)
