Glad that sale isn't by me. I could spend all day in the basement.
 
It's definitely worth going to dig through but I would not pay much for anything there. The guy never let anything go and took no care with what he had. Most is probably not working for one reason or another. Cosmetics will be an issue. Even the picture of the units laid out on the floor looks like it was pulled from the piles downstairs. Go, look over the electronics, dig through the piles for the unrecognized treasures, and check out the condition of the albums. Price and pay accordingly.

I say this having had my best experience in the attic of a deceased electronics repair man. I dug, lugged, hauled, tripped, and crawled to find what I did and paid accordingly. I did do very well in the end but I earned it.
