Windham Hill Music PlayList -

[MisterDK]

I did a search and didn’t see any recent threads for Windham Hill music. I think they were a label and genre which deserves more respect here so thought I’d start a playlist thread. I know that some may blow the label off as elevator music or simply “new age” - but it’s almost always very well performed acoustic music which was well recorded and engineered, and always very well pressed and packaged when on vinyl. These are high quality records.

Please feel free to post pictures, thoughts or recommendations of any Windham Hill albums you’re playing, either on vinyl or CD.

I’ll start off with posting of one I played an hour ago, by Alex DeGrassi -

And another by Alex DeGrassi which just finished -

I really like their style, when I am in that mood.
"Angels Flight" is a standout,
don't recall the artist......

I have many of their albums. I also enjoy them.

Okay - this isn’t a Windham Hill - but the original release of it was (WHS C-1005).
This one’s a reissue on the Gnome Life label; it’ll do ‘till I get a clean original on Windham Hill.

Winter by George Winston was the one that got me started. First heard it on a drizzly winter night in 1982 while strolling through Ghirardelli Square with my girl friend in San Francisco.

Found this brand new unopened Ballads and Blues 1972. Gave it to a friend, since I already had a copy.

George Winstons used to play during the holidays at the Flint Center in the town I used to live in.

I only to listen to Windham Hill during the late fall and holidays. When I get lazy, I just put these on.
