I'll bet it plays the "Brown Notes"

Just home, plenty of time folks to take this fun event in! Kind of a "close knit" cadre of participants by necessity :), friendly people, tasty food.
Here are a few shots:

Another great event!
The weather was unbelievable, I counted at least 80 attendees - many of them new and lots of really cool stuff for show and sale.
While we were pressed for space this time around we at least had the option to set some stuff up outside on the loading dock.

Thanks to everyone, and especially to Frank for being our gracious host.

Stay tuned - we are trying to finalize a date in June - TBD.

Ha! That's my wife in the 3rd picture, watching our little pile of gear for sale all the way back in that corridor. We got there at 11:15 or so and that was the only spot left. Our first time but everybody agreed it was a large crowd. We had a good time and I even sold a few things.

Still shaken by the levels you guys like to demo at :) Explains why nobody really wanted my cute little 18 W/ch Kenwood amp, though.

EDIT: Third picture in post #104 above.

Oh and I only have a couple of crappy phone shots that wouldn't add anything. Please do give my thanks to Frank. My wife got to chat with him but I never did. See you all next time!

My pick-of-the-litter/wish-I-had-taken-it-home piece was Tom B's gorgeous Pioneer SX-650; it was so beautiful it should be sold by now on looks alone!

Using maximum restraint I walked past...very, very slowly :(, though as wonderful as she looked and sounded, just would not have done what I needed once my situation is sorted out here.

I got to the 'fest a little after noon, and stuff I though was being loaded in was apparently being loaded out!
Did get a number of good LP's, though it seems I must have bought more for my son than myself  ??

The ML pair wasn't around long...didn't get the story on how or why they were there...but I did get to see them :-)

My first Frankenfest. Nice to see Ed Room and Jamal. Jamal, thanks for a great deal on the speaker cables and let me know on the SOTA TT. I got to meet and talk with Frank. He had a crowd around him. Great guy. Looking forward to next year.

Great time - Great February day (70 degrees) - Thanks Frank for hosting the location and Jim for organizing

You will note that I said earlier there was stuff going out that I thought was coming in

There was a nice pair of tubular speaker stands in the back of a car at the loading dock...which I never did see
inside...guess they were off to their new home :)

OK, fess up, who got them?

Wow, what a show! :music: Like a few others, I had my stuff set up on the loading dock, which is where those Mark Levinson amps were sitting much of the day. Amazingly, I managed to sell all but one of the things I brought there! Granted, I bought a nice McIntosh tuner (thanks, Tim!) which cut into the profits, but it was all worthwhile in the end. Thanks as always to Frank for hosting us (un)ruly types, and to everyone who made it or tried to make it. Can't wait for the next one!

This is the second "Fest" that my wife and I attended. What.a great group! Got to hear GD70's AR 3's and Dave's Ohm I's; bravo to both on top notch restorations! It's nice to see such a large turnout and all of the interesting gear! Probably the only time I'll see ML amps in person! Looking foward to the next "Fest"!

Second time at the fest (I was in the David Gilmour Tee).
I attended back in 2011 and had a blast. I had a great time today too, though i wasn't able to part with my gear. It was nice to see Jamal again and say hi, and to chat with Glen for a bit.
I'm looking forward to June already.
Thanks to Frank for lending the space for such an awesome get together.

I had a great time today! Lots of music to listen to, met some new pals, etc. Thanks a bunch to Frank for hosting. His smoked turkey was great, and it is always fun to see the cool projects he has going on around the shop! I hope everyone enjoyed the pakalava, from my kitchen last night.
Geeeze, I'm sorry I missed seeing those ML beasts... They looked fantastic.
Anyway, I made a great trade and picked up a few other toys. Thanks to they guy that passed on to me the reverb unit with the cool light display. Adcom preamp to match one of the amps in the basement.
I hope to see folks around at the first MIT flea, April 16th. (yes, it is Easter)
Happy day,
Hugh

Awesome time! Nice to know we can all get along elbow to elbow for 5+ hours!

Thanks again Frank! And thanks also to everyone who brought food and libations.

Hasta la proxima!
