I'm trying to wire my VHS recorder, DirecTV receiver, and DVD recorder to my AV receiver & TV.
I'd like to have it so that you can listen to the sound from the TV or the receiver, so the kids can watch something without having to turn the stereo on.
I have Y splitters coming off the 2 outputs with 1 pair going into the TV and another going into the A/V receiver.
The VHS and DVD recorders both need to be able to record off the DirecTV receiver.
Are there any diagrams for this?
I've about twisted my back out trying different combinations of doing this, reaching around the back of my non movable entertainment center.
I'd like to use S video when I can, and I have a video/audio input switch that's complicating everything. The switch will handle S video.
I've got 1 set of outputs on the switch-video, R/L audio, and 2 s video.
Now I'm having trouble getting sound from the DVD player.
I've given up for tonight. It seems like when I correct 1 thing, I screw up something else.
