Nut house of the Universe
Well in a few minutes I leave to head to a nearby town to pickup 5 bankers boxes of 5 and 7" Reel to Reel mostly prerecorded tapes.


Talked to the guy they are mostly classical and country (not so much my thing) and some Jazz (more my thing) But I figure with that many tapes there has to be some useful stock (unless it's all on junk Scotch etc) and if I find even 4-5 good factory Jazz tapes I'm into the profit side of the deal.

What I don't want I'm sure I will be able to find someone who does here on AK.

I'll add photo's and list the choice goodies when I get back.

Good Luck. Hope you get some nice music on some of those tapes and that the others are good quality ready for new music.
 
I'd be happy to lighten your load of the classical tapes, and any of the Jazz tapes that you are not interested in.
 
Well an interesting bunch of tape. as advertized 5 almost full bankers boxes of prerecorded tapes. The 5" tapes are all home recorded and there's only a half dozen other home recorded tape (one being a 50-60B Maxell UD XL!) The keepers out of the pile for me are the 8 Johnny Cash Tapes about half on Columbia and a couple of the Jazz tapes.

The balance is hard to discribe since most of the artists I have never heard of.

But when I get a chance to do a second sorting I'll figure out what it is I have. Besides 4.5 boxes of tapes I don't need LOL.

Dammit, you got there first, you bearded b*st*rd! :D:D I picked up a couple boxes the other day, and so far every one has been played on shot heads (curled).:mad: To think he doesn't know who the Harmonicats are!
