My eyes played tricks on me. I looked quickly and thought it read 42" rather than 12".
 
They were popular speakers in the 50's and 60's when tubes powered home Hi-Fi--good value for the money.
 
What impresses me most about those is how how neat the design is. I think it was far ahead of it's time. That is one beautiful speaker.

Those were Terry's, but I'm pretty sure they were EV SP12 woofers w/ T-35 tweeters, not the full range LS12s.

But they did sound quite nice :yes:
 
I had a pair for years...mated with EV T-35 horns....sounded great!!
My younger sister has them now....and they STILL sound great!!

I used to have a pair and wish I had them back. They were my first "hi fi" speakers. Not the last word in sound, but pretty good and they look so cool!
 
I found a pair of 15"s as console separates at a thrift once. I parted them out and flipped them to a guy in HK. Apparetnly the 15"s are somewhat rare...
 
Beautiful driver, but the cabinet, although apparently well-made, isn't far from leaving the speaker in open air.

Bet it would have serious bass in a larger, tuned cab...
