Talked with Michael at Percy Audio. He sold me some 19 gauge Wonder Wire, copper with silver coating and poly insulation for audio signal wire in my Harman Kardon A500 tube amp. Is this stuff okay to use? Is it good quality and sonically all right??

Wonder Wire

That is exactly what was used in my amp. Wonder Wire was intended for use as a ground wire and the 99.999% 24 awg solid silver for signal. If you've seen my "Moth Arrives" thread you'll see that the manufacturer ignored our instructions and wired it backwards - Wonder Wire on signal. My amp was wired this way for many months before the wire supplier saw pixs of my amp and brought it to my attention. Eventually I had it re-wired "to spec" locally. Honestly, the differences I observed were discrete. I think you'll be fine with the Wonder Wire. Here's the photo he saw, before it was re-wired.
