If ones good them 48 must be the bomb.

Ever check out the "Dolmette" at the Dolmar chainsaw website?

I've seen video of that one Tom.. I've also seen some video of this bike running.. and both seem like they would be more fun to sit on and twist the throttle, than to actually ride..

Yep.. the Y2K.. that's a hell of a bike.. I could only wish to get to ride one...

I had a friend that was a helicopter engine pilot, and he had mentioned maybe putting one together for himself, but then the more he thought about it, he said the amount of lag in the throttle, both powering up, and backing off, would make it more of a death trap on the street than it would be worth..

Jay Leno demo'ed it on film. He says it's like getting used to turbo-lag. Definately not for the inexperienced rider, I read you loud and clear. I had an opportunity to ride a 'little' Yamaha R6 recently. The last big bike I had ridden was a Kawasaki ZX10. I thought that surely the 'little' R6 wouldn't be a problem. Boy was I wrong. I got onto a 55mph posted main connector route here in town and pulled the trigger. S#^T!!! That thing is a ROCKET! Technology has come a long way in 10 years. If there was a time where you should have big-time experience riding before you buy, it is now.

I wonder how long it would take to check the compression..?

Bet it idles pretty smooth too..:D

Not a bike guy, so you'll have to help me. Is it typical to use sweated copper pipe fittings on a custom bike? Looks like he's done that in several places.

I've seen a few customs that used copper and sweating extensively. One was made to look like a still.. it was pretty cool..

At 5', 5"....my feet wouldn't come anywhere near the road!?
I'd have to buy a pair of KISS boots from Gene Simmons!

Seriously....and absolutely USELESS road machine!!

Steve

Looking at the photo and the placement of the seat relative to the handle bars you would need arms like a gorilla. Ah, sighed the lady, I remember you standing there in the moonlight with your knuckles dragging in the sand.
