Would should change speaker connection

Owner of a HH Scott 233 Integrated that previous owner had stripped out a couple speaker connections.
So something needed to be done and have not been able to source the correct part. It is longer than the six position ones I can find.
So I drilled an enough to insert a 4mm banana connector.
The will accept spade and plug and work well.
Now I found these on a sub box that was tossing. They would also work and have the advantage of a pressure connection on bare wire.

Now I know once a strip is found will replace.

Would the different connection hurt or help? Leave it alone?

I've mounted banana plug/5way terminals in screw plates quite often, give ya more ways to connect speakers ,,,, Also vote for Red/Black connectors easier to see and are insulated...

I’d leave it alone. If the current connectors accept spades, they'll also accept bare wire, obviously. The connectors you’re proposing may be able to provide greater pressure since they’re metal. However, the difference between what they can do and what is now installed won’t make a noticeable difference making a change not worth the effort IMHO.

These are a nice way and you don't need to drill the terminal strip. They come with different threaded studs on the back. The 5699 series has 6-32 threads.

The hole was stripped when purchased. The previous owner was using female RCA wired to round lug connectors. So he had backed out the screw to install and did not take care when doing. Stripped at least two IIRC. So they were loose and needed fixing.

The one you show 5699’s would still need a nut since the hole was stripped.

Must also be thinking give it the good old leave it to FK alone. Not change a working fine setup. Wait for the part to turn up.

If the the screw holes are stripped out why not use those connectors?

The red black plastic ones are mounted and they work fine. The other ones I was just thinking of using over them.

I still want to find the right strip to fit. It is a bit longer then what I have be able to find so far.

What is the distance between the rivets? I have a number of old terminal strips and may have one that will fit.

You could just remove them all by drilling the rivets out and fabing a new Derlin plate with all new matching banana terminals. It isn't like it's a museum piece, as I can see the plastic on the red receptacle is broken as well.

Sorry this is the best picture can do with one hand.

Here are some pictures of the unit.
The red outlet has a replacement waiting for the next time under the knife.

Also to be noted it is one the Terry checked out for me years ago.
He said the HH Scott tubes were like new.
