Reminds me of a carbon fiber machine I worked on a long time ago that used sound to separate the fibers in the machine.

I'd be interested to learn what kind of SPL they're generating. I understand that they're using ultrasonic frequencies, but at what amplitude?

I once did a project with Tom Danley - the brains behind Servodrive. He had done lots of interesting projects in the past, including working for NASA designing high SPL drivers to levitate objects for 0 gravity simulations.
