WTD: 5" Driver Recommendation for Infinity RS-7b

I've got a pair of infinity RS-7b's that have some random replacement midrange driver and they don't sound as good as I expect they can.

I don't know what the exact difference between the RS7 and RS7b, but they look similar and the RS7 spec sheet lists them as 5" (12.7cm) Midrange with Polypropylene Cone #902-4962 Substitute #902-0470 and the technical informatio nseem tin indicate it's a 5 ohm at 5W (am I reading this right)?

Can anyone suggest a good replacement? Polypropylene seems to have fallen out of favor...

We listen to mostly rock, acoustic folk, and some jazz.

Go with the original or replacement Infinity driver. There are several on eBay right now. Search infinity 5" midrange. The clear polypropylene ones. No affiliation.

I wonder why the previous owner replaced them? Unlike the later Kappa polydomes, these are pretty durable. And luckily for you, they're much less expensive and easier to find.

Thanks for your input. I've ordered a pair of used drivers on ebay. As for why they were replaced, it was because the foam had deteriorated and it was easier for him (being me) to order them than figure out how and where to refoam them.

I have one other question that might be relevant here, "What's the difference between the RS-X and the RS-Xb speakers?" Does the 'b' stand for budget?
