Just wanted to share this, I dont foresee ever letting this go. Anyone familliar with this model? This is a Fisher X-202, its labeled on the front 'Executive' because it was part of the Fisher Executive console. Im guessing its the same as the regular X-202, but who knows

1961 executive VI. Beautiful when they're working but what isn't...

I believe there is something in the output that's slightly different from the standard version because of the console speakers but Dave would know better than I.

probably .0047uf caps in the tone section vs. .047caps in the standalone. This is to cut the bass due to feedback from the Turntable.

I was actually impressed with how good the bass sounds on it. Not sure how low it goes though. There is a center channel that im not using,

Any differences between an actual X-202 and your unit would exist in the phono preamp section, where Fisher rather regularly added what amounts to a permanent Rumble Filter, to prevent acoustic feedback in a console setting. No other inputs would be affected by this concern, so from all line level inputs forward, they will be all X-202.

It's definitely one of the most attractive designs. The brushed brass faceplate and 5 colored jewel lights are beautiful.

I do wish there were more than one auxiliary setting. They could have replaced RIAA 2 with an additional aux port. I use the only one for mpx FM.

Depending on how the selector switch is wired, it may have the phono preamp output connected to 2 separate terminals. You can disconnect one and connect wires between that terminal and the second set of phono jacks to get another high level input. I have done this with the unused tape head input on another model.
