XLS-215 Crossover upgrade help

I have a pair of Cerwin Vega XLS-215s. I like their sound stock but I can't help thinking redoing the crossovers with better quality parts, upgrading the wiring and adding a few internal braces and would improve their sound. I would also like to change the bottom end to sound more like the older CLSC-215s The folks at CV sent me a diagram of the stock XLS crossovers. I would appreciate any advice on upgrading them and other mods that will improve their sound. THANKS!

Some ideas, looking at the schematic: A better capacitor , and perhaps larger voltage, at C1 and C3 "could" be audible ( I don't know the SOUNDER brand, what is supposed to be in there, perhaps it's already a top quality cap)

Also, the 2 thermistors at the tweeter could be replaced with some hi quality resistor just to keep the resistance on the network, but you will loose the tweeter protection.

Or, an air core inductor at the mid-range (L2) could be also an improvement, but an air core inductor will have a higher resistance, so perhaps it modifies a bit the crossover or the general balance of the speaker. Or, you need to get an inductor with low resistance, thicker wire, more expensive.

An air core inductor at the woofer (L4) will be expensive, so perhaps not viable.

I'd search for somebody else's experience and opinion doing this same mod to your same speaker.
