Xmas gift speaker setup HELP

Hello,
I am up to my wits end trying to get my friend a speaker system that he can use for his PS5. I purchased a 5.1 JBL TLX audio system and receiver off of Facebook marketplace for a good price and can't figure out what I am doing. There were no cables included and if someone could walk me through the steps I would be forever grateful.

Receiver: Yamaha R-V503
Speakers: JBL CC-1 Sub, JBL TLX center 1000, JBL TLX Surround 1000, JBL TLX LR1000.
TV: 2017 Samsung UHD

I know that I need to purchase speaker wire to connect all the speakers to the receiver, but the problem is connecting the receiver to the television. Doing my own research I have found I need either an HDMI port on the receiver, or a 3.5mm port on the TV, which neither of them have. I watched a YouTube video saying I can connect to RDA connectors to the receiver in the "Video ports" and use an RCA to HDMI connection to connect them to the television, but it won't let him watch in 4K? All I want is for my friend to enjoy this 5.1 channel speaker system on his PS5 for movie watching and playing games. I know the technology I have isn't new, but I am willing to purchase what I need to make this work. Please help.

What you'll need, is some sort of D/A (digital to analog) converter, to use with the optical digital audio output of the TV. It would need to have optical digital input, and RCA output- the output would just plug into any of the line inputs on the back of the receiver (CD, video, etc- pretty much anything EXCEPT the phono input would work).

The budget way of doing this, would be to pick up a basic digital to analog converter box, from somewhere like Amazon or Monoprice or the like. They can be had for as cheap as below $20. But, any D/A converter with an optical input, would work... there's varying quality, depending on what you want to spend on it.

Regards,
Gordo.
