Yacht Rock Playlist

I have two main reasons for starting this thread. First off I can't seems to find a soft rock or AM radio playlist thread adn I love a lot of that stuff. There used to be a thread called "Todays Intimate Soft Rock & Light Jazz Playlist" which covered that (and probably the whole of Yacht Rock as well) but it seems to have disappeared after my decade long haitus from AK. Also I still see a lot of people asking just what Yacht Rock is. I don't know if there is any official reference for what constitutes almost any music genre especially when you start getting into rock music sub genres. There are a lot of great articles out there on the topic as well as a couple of recent documentaries to help define it... or you can look here.

Don't be afraid to post if you aren't sure if a particular release is Yacht Rock or not. If it's 70's soft pop rock or what some call AM radio rock it's quite possibly yacht rock as well.

I have seen those. Additionally there are a huge amount of AI generated Yacht Rock parodies out there now which will come up by doing a search. I don't quite know how I feel about AI music. It's a lttle scary. But they are amusing.
 
Seems like a lot of bands tested the "Yacht Waters" back in the early 70's seeing how it would go over with the listening crowd.

Seals and Crofts, Fleetwood Mac and others tried the soft rock approach. Some caught degrees of attention/interest.
